Development Objective
A mixed-use development consisting of a religious meeting space plus three accommodation apartments.
Design Approach
Work closely with the ownership to tailor the dedicated religious space to specification whilst maximizing the available building space in a limited size lot to incoporate versatile accommodations units.

The Challenge
The heavily restricted site area is surrounded by busy commercial businesses on three sides. Site access and security were crucial factors. The client require a specific religious meeting place to accommodate a large number of people with associated facilities. The remainder of the building area was to maximize the available space with versatile accommodation
The Solution
A large proportion of the ground floor area was deisgned to accommodate a prayer space with easy access for the surrounding ground. A one bedroom apart ment was included on the ground floor with independent access.
The second floor was deigned to maximize the accommodation provision and features a one bedroom apartment and a three bedroom apartment with the comfort of outdoor covered balcony areas.
The Outcome
The project is on-going at the the time of publication here and is well on budget and timeline for completion before Ramadan 2027.

CLIENT Experience
This is the second project for the client. BECC has already completed the neighbouring retail store building in 2021

The completed building will provide much needed dedicated space for the religious community and additional revenure from the compact lot
